Thursday, July 19th started for me with the Region 11 meeting. Our Regional Director talked about the importance of following proper protocol and being kind to each other.
The rest of the day was taken up with Programs: Ethel Newcome and American History by Susan Foreman, "I See Me" Reflections in Black Dolls by Sharon B. Harbin, Wooden Kachina Dolls by Robin Wyatt, and Kiryu - Journey to a Japanese Mechanical Doll Theatre by Alan Scott Pate.
All of the programs were excellent.
Thursday was also the day that the Open Forum was held. This is one hour of time where any member can bring up questions, complaints, and ideas to the executive board. It seemed that this year we could have used a longer time for the forum.
With all the learning I was doing on this day, I didn't get many photos.
