Real Littles Disney Backpack

This week, blogger The Toy Box Philosopher blogged about a Real Littles Backpack (click on the link to go to that blog). Her blog reminded me that I had never shown the Real Littles Backpack I have on this blog. So here it is.

Little Darling Merry is going to show off her backpack. It is a Frozen II themed backpack made of blue see-through vinyl.

The straps are a little tight on her shoulders, but otherwise it is a great fit for her.

She has attached the horse bag charm to her bag. I haven't seen Frozen II yet, so I do not know the horse's name.

Included in the backpack was a large amount of stationary.

2 postcards

Already stamped!

An envelope with two pieces of coordinating paper

A teeny, tiny stamp - featuring Olaf

An Olaf highlighter that is the only piece of stationary that is too big for the doll

A journal with lots of blank pages

A sheet of stickers, and a stack of post-it notes.

With all of these fancy supplies, Merry is ready to chronicle her Summer vacation adventures and keep in contact with her friends.

Butterfly Garden

It is hot, hot, hot outside - feels like 104 degrees. Ugh. On the plus side, our butterfly bushes are blooming and I saw my first butterfly of the season. In honor of that lone butterfly, I decided to do a butterfly themes display today.

All the fairies have gathered in their own little butterfly garden.

Back in 2010 or 2011, I bid on a silent auction: it consisted of the butterfly box, the small pad of paper in a butterfly case, butterfly swizzel sticks/picks, butterfly wine glass charms, a bouquet of flowers w/ a butterfly clip, a Madame Alexander doll, and a bunch of chocolate scented handmade soaps.

It was fun to use the butterfly items in today's set-up, after so many years.

90 Years of Magic

I couldn't resist buying a mystery box today. The package is shaped like Mickey Mouse ears and shorts.

Inside the package are two Mickey Mouse figures in celebration of 90 Years of Mickey Mouse.

I got Mickey Mouse Shorts (short films) Mickey and Mouseketeer Mickey.

Post Convention - Disney Springs

The next day, my friend and I spent the part of the day at Disney Springs before flying home to Maryland.

We had lunch at T-Rex.

Licca was not afraid of the dinosaurs.

Disney Springs is filled with shops and restaurants. We really liked the Lego store, the World of Disney, the toy store, and the Christmas store.

And the Pin Trading store! Can you see Licca in the photo below?

We had lots of fun pin trading with Disney cast members. From trading, I got 2 new Duffy pins, a Shellie May pin, and an Epcot pin. I call that a win.

We made it to the airport on time and had an uneventful flight home. Now I get to rest.

UFDC 68th Annual Convention, 2017 - Orlando, FL: Part 2

I started out Thursday morning by attending a seminar, Collecting Outside the Circle by Stuart Holbrook. Licca, as always, accompanied me. That day she was wearing her white Minnie Mouse outfit.

After that I had lunch and explored the sales room and Helpers. Lots of nice items were donated for the helpers.

Next up were the Regional meetings. Region 11, as usual, was very well represented.

Some travel dolls in their Disney finest at the Region 11 meeting.

Then it was time to check out the Special Exhibits. I loved the Disney exhibit.

Horace and Clarabelle!

The Three Caballeros!

On display were the quilts that Region 11 and Region 9 worked on.

Special helper tickets could be purchased for the quilts. I bought 2 tickets, but did not win. :(

This is the square I made, Madame Upinova.

I think that everybody did a great job on the quilt project. Everyone's talent never ceases to amaze me.
