She's here! She's here! She's here!
Ever since I discovered there was an African American Sweet April doll, I have wanted one. Now I have one. And she is so cute!
Look at that adorable little baby face. I admit it, I have a tiny obsession with Remco's Sweet April dolls, sigh.
She arrived with her stroller and crib, two accessories I did not already have.
At the moment, Leneda has adopted her as her little sister.
Later I will get a photo of this new Sweet April with the other three in my collection. Gosh, I have quads now. LOL
My Sweet April collection may finally be complete, unless I find a good shape and low priced large size Sweet April.
Congrats on finding Sweet April. I have two of these little cuties, which can be seen here.

I just looked at your post. I've never seen Brown Eye Billy before - very cute.
DeleteI am looking for a sweet april miniature. I had the white one when it came out. but I don't care what color.
ReplyDeleteMy mother was in England and bought it. Where did you find yours?
There are usually a few on Ebay. That is where I have found all of mine.
DeleteI am 55 yrs old and have had what I believe to be a black sweet April doll she has a button on her back that raises her arms and moved her legs. I'm curious of he value today.
ReplyDeleteMy mother kept her for many years as it was the late sixties early seventies when racism was an influence on so many people in the south at that time. I absolutely loved that doll. I'm glad my mother kept her all those years. If you have any info on my baby doll please let me know.
I am so happy that you had a Sweet April that you enjoy. The black version has run anywhere from $10 - $45 on U. S. Ebay in the last few years. Sweet April was first produced in 1971 by Remco. It was marketed in the UK through another company, I think.
