Starting to Unpack

Unpacking and temporary staging of dolls has begun.

One shelf has been put up. On it (for now) are: Cinderella, Horsman Baby Denton, A Case of the Blues Ellowyne, Raph, Jenny, Julie, a Sam Kay baby, and Lost Angel Setsuna.

On the couch are: Duffy, Fuji San, Not Suzy, Dutch Ginny, unknown Madame Hendren, circus souvenir clown, Effenbee Mama Doll, my Hawaii souvenir, Genius Baby, Mini Cecile, and Snoopy.

Here are close ups of some of the dolls I have not featured before.

The Horror of the Doll Room

We've been in our house for a week and a half, and our shipment of household goods arrived one week ago, exactly. Since then, we have been unpacking and putting as much of our stuff away as we can.

At the moment, my doll room is a mess. The wallpaper was torn down, but now the room needs to be painted. Only then will I buy shelving for the room.

Dolls in their boxes are stacked on two book cases.

There are plenty of boxes and tubs to unpack.

At least I have a nice view, though I will probably keep the shades pulled down most of the time to protect the dolls from the sunlight.

I know what I will be doing for the next few months, though all I really want to do is play with my dolls.

While at Narita airport, I bought the perfect last-minute souvenir for myself.

Oodles of Noodles

Technically these aren't dolls, but they are some of my most recent Japan souvenirs.

This Monchichi holding a bowl of ramen is from my recent visit to the Shinyokohama Ramen Museum.

While this little Tanuki in a bowl of soba is from a capsule machine. I love the look on his little face.

Packing Up

I haven't been posting much lately due to the upcoming move back to the U.S. Packing up all of my dolls was a daunting task.

Here is a photo of almost all of my dolls packed up last week, before the movers came and took them away.

Sweets!

I found a unique Licca at the HobbyOff today.

She has tan skin, dark eyes, and amazing curly hair.

She is a friend of Licca, named Sweets.

Unfortunately, her curls are in really bad shape. She definately needs a trip to the dolly salon.
