Leneda in Yellow

This is my Leneda, Leann's friend. She is made by Denis Bastien/Affordable Designs.

In this photo she is wearing an Affordable Designs dress and shoes. She is holding an adorable bowl of tanuki ramen. This is a pun. Tanuki ramen is usually a bowl of ramen that has tempura crumbs in it. This bowl has a happy Tanuki (raccoon dog) in it.

She has the dark skin tone, and is on the posable body.

Unfortunately, I found out after buying her that she can not stand on her own and sitting is rather awkward. You see, one of her legs is a little off. The hip joint is larger than the other hip joint, and doesn't fit.

I hope to one day get her fixed, so that she can sit and stand comfortably.

Going Out in Style

For Valentine's Day, 1980s Barbie and Ken had a wild date night.

I redressed Barbie in a new Barbie brand dress that is supposed to fit all the new Fasionistas, including Curvy Barbie. It looks great on my 1986 Barbie from the front, but what you can't see is that it doesn't close all the way in the back. She has a larger chest and bust than the modern Barbie dolls.

Ken is wearing the Fashion Avenue tuxedo that he has been sporting since 2003, when I got married. He was the groom to my doll wedding cake. It is a really nice tuxedo.

The pleated overlay, unfortunately, doesn't go all around the dress, it is only in the front.

I thought I would see how the dress fits my Curvy and Regular Fashionistas.

It looks really nice on the regular Fashionista body. Every thing fits and closes.

It does fit on Curvy, but it sits up higher on her and barely closes in the back.

It is good to know that this dress fits different body types.

February Brings out the Doll Couples

This evening was the February meeting of my doll club, Miss Carroll's Doll Study Club.

Our theme was couples.

The refreshment table was decorated with these lovely St. Valentine's themed dolls.

Our show and tell table was packed with dolls from the members.

So many different couples.

Even Barbie and Ken were there.

Happy Birthday, Lewis Carroll - Part 2

And now on to part 2 of my Alice post (a little late due to the bad cold I am experiencing).

First up are the Licca dolls in Alice in Wonderland related costumes. I have just a few.

 Licca as Alice.

Licca as Alice (in pants!).

Licca as the White Rabbit.

Licca as the Mad Hatter.

And Licca as Alice, again. Note: There are some great Licca Alice costumes I don't have, including Licca as the Red Queen.

Next up is Liv Doll Hayden as the White Rabbit. I adore the aesthetics of this doll and costume.

Mini Pullip as the March Hare.

And last, but not least, Little Mimi as Alice (from Korea).

What Alice in Wonderland themed dolls do you have?
