Ana by Dianna Effner

The souvenir doll for the 2014 UFDC Convention is Ana by Dianna Effner.

Made out of vinyl, Ana is a little girl from Texas, who happens to also be Native American. She designed her own outfit to honor her roots.

I think she is absolutely adorable.

Happy Early Birthday, to Me

I gave myself an early birthday present a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't planning on making any purchases, since I splurged at the convention, but I couldn't resist when some one I knew put her up for sale.

I am now the proud owner of American Girl Julie. Her hair is a little matted, but otherwise she is in great condition. Now, I just need to get her a pair of sandals to wear with her birthday dress.

55 Years of Barbie Exhibit, Part 2

A neat part of the collection was the Barbies and outfits made for the Japanese Market.

And of course, many bathing beauties.

We have jumped to the late 80s, and not a sign of the Barbie I had, Malibu Barbie. Though Superstar Barbie does make an appearance.

And now the modern and Silkstones.

This year's Barbie Convention dolls.
