My Barbie Family

I was just wondering if there were Barbie and family members that I have not shared with you from my collection. Looking through my photos, I came upon these from when we were living in Maryland. It is nice to see some of these dolls, since most of them are in storage while I am in Japan.

The top shelf holds:  My First Barbie #1788 - 1986, XXXOOO Valentine Barbie - 1999, Barbie Fun to Dress - 1987, Cool Crimp Skipper African-American - 1993, Pilgrim Barbie (American Stories) - 1994, Super Teen Skipper - 1978, Scott - 1979, Barbie Sit in Style - 1999, an 80s Ken, and Barbie's Friend, Rosie O'Donnell - 1999.

Barbie Sit in Style is hiding behind Skipper, so here is a photo (not the best) of her. I took these photos before I packed up all the dolls.

The middle shelf has Superstar Christie - 1980.

And the bottom shelf hold Malibu Barbie - 1971, and another 80s Ken.

Of these, I only brought Barbie Fun to Dress, Super Teen Skipper, and Scott with me. They look forward to being reunited with their family and friends in a few years.

Moxie Girlz Bria

Last year I bought Moxie Girlz - Basic Bria when she was on sale. I only opened her up this past month, and I have to say she is really very sweet. I've never had a Moxie Girlz before and am pleased with her, even if she has limited mobility - her legs don't bend - and her feet pop off. Eeek!

Other than that, she reminds me of the Barbie dolls of my childhood. Well, if I discount the HUGE head. LOL

She is really sweet. Her hair is amazingly thick and soft. I looked up the Moxie Girlz line, and out of all the current dolls available, they don't seem to be continuing her. Lots of the other girls though. Sigh.

For a treat, I also bought a mini Cabbage Patch Kid. I couldn't resist.

Donte is quite the charmer.

He is also just the right size for Bria to play with.

Maudlynne Playing in the Snow

This weekend there was unprecedented snowfall in Tokyo. We got about a foot of the cold white stuff. Maudlynne Macabre was excited to go out and play in it.

Lost Angels Story: Setsuna

Besides beautiful 1/4 and 1/3 scale resin, ball Jointed dolls, Volk's also produces various 1/6 scale dolls.

This is Setsuna from the Lost Angels Story, a line that has its own Manga series based on the dolls.
