Welcome, Spring

It is a beautiful day, so A Royal Affair Evangeline Ghastly took some time to smell the flowers.

Ooo-La-La, It's Pizza-La

One of my regrets was not buying the Pizza-La Licca when she first came out. I thought about it, but decided to wait. So when I got the Pizza-La Lucky Bag from Toys R Us, I knew I had to have her. Unfortunately she was sold out every where. Then we moved back to the U.S.

Eventually I found her for a reasonable price on-line, and she has now joined the ranks of my Licca family.

In her box, there is a Pizza-La menu.

She is dressed in underwear, pink socks, khaki pants, a red and black polo shirt, apron, hat, and sneakers.

It really looks like the Pizza-La uniform.

Her sneakers have a great tread pattern on the bottom.

I can't wait to set her up with the Pizza-La playset.

A Peek into the Library

It feels like Spring outside, the early flowers are in bloom, and I am busy putting the final touches on a doll program I am delivering Wednesday night, while experimenting in the kitchen with my wonderful husband.

Even with all that going on, I wanted to share some doll photos with you. I decided on some dolls/figurines that share space in the library with their books.

Dorothy and the Tin Man, Madame Alexander McDonald's Happy Meal toys, stand in front of our copy of The Wizard of Oz.

While Alice shows off The Complete Works of Lewis Carroll and The Annotated Alice.

And the Starship Enterprise hovers in front of some of our Star Trek novels.

Hina Matsuri 2016

Today, March 3rd, is Hina Matsuri, Girl's Day, in Japan.

On display are the Japanese Emperor and Empress. They are a set of dolls I made in a kimekomi class, while in Japan.
