Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

Or, well, maybe not.

It is Easter and the girls are wearing their finest spring outfits.

Happy Easter to everyone!

Tama Zoo

Yesterday we spent the day at Tama Zoo. The weather was in the 60s and the sun was shining. It was a beautiful day.

The Tama Zoo is known for its Lion Bus attraction. Visitors ride the bus through the habitat and get up close and personal with the lions.

The smear in the photo is a bit of lion slobber. Little bits of meat were on the bus window to attract the lions.

Lions aren't the only animals at Tama Zoo. There were also Pelicans!

Kangaroos!

 Koalas!

Mouflons! And many, many more.

Petite Blythe

I have to admit, I am not the biggest Blythe fan. Her head is a little too big and her limbs a little too skinny. I knew I wanted a Blythe (all the cool kids have one), but I would have to love the doll to actually buy one. As of yet, I have not seen one, in person, that I really wanted.

But... today there was an unboxed Petite Blythe at the Hobby Off that appealed to me, and the price was right. To make my day better, there was an adorable outfit, Forest Clover for sale for about a dollar. Put the two together, and I now have a cute St. Patrick's Day display. Timely.

Here is the doll, Petite Blythe Intensive Care.

She has bright, green eyes to die for.

Unfortunately, her little candy striper hat does not come off. That limits her redressing possibilities.

Fortunately, the Forest Clover outfit comes with an over-sized hat that covers up the other hat.

She looks like a totally new doll.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you.

Today is Hina Matsuri - Girl's Day - in Japan.
To celebrate the day, here are photos of my Hina Matsuri dolls.
