Yuki Kimono

I have found myself missing Japan, a lot. So today I decided to open up Lalaloppsy Yuki Kimono.

I bought her the week after we returned to the US on a whim. And since then she has silently been sitting in her package, mostly forgotten.

She comes with four accessories: a parasol, fan, cat kokeshi, and a lantern.

Look how cute she is. I was saddened to find out that these little figures can't stand on their own, and don't come with stands.

But it is possible to creatively photograph her as if she is holding her items.

Boy, I wish I had tiny hands, and more of them. It would make this a lot easier.

Now I just need to figure out how to display her.

We are 18 Inches and Love Dolls Doll Club

Summer has been flying by so quickly. UFDC convention is less than a month a way. While I've been planing my wardrobe and schedule, these three decided that they want to go too.

I told them that there wasn't enough room in my suitcase. They were disappointed, but decided to have their own mini convention and doll club.

Meet the founding members of the We are 18 Inches and Love Dolls Doll Club: Julie with her own Julie doll,

Sadie with her Cecile doll,

and Harmony with her Samantha doll.

All the girls are wearing doll related shirts, Julie and Harmony in convention shirts and Sadie in an American Girl shirt.

It looks like their convention is off to a great start.

Effanbee Patsy

Happy 4th of July.

I thought a blog post about Patsy would be appropriate for today. Especially since she has this cute little blue and white outfit.

This Effanbee Patsy is a faithful reproduction from 1996. I acquired her this summer at a doll show.

She came with two extra outfits. The first is this adorable blue outfit: socks, bloomers, slip, dress, and bonnet.

The other extra outfit is a cute one piece romper in pink and white.

She also comes with her Effanbee charm!

Last, but not least, she has a cool trunk to hold her and all of her belongings.

My Friend Jenny

I was super excited when I found Fisher Price My Friend Jenny at a thrift store recently.

She is in pretty good shape, and is only missing her shoes and hat.

Her hair, though, was an absolute mess.

I gave her a bath and shampooed her hair.

I think it looks much better now.

Finally, she stands (wearing borrowed shoes) with Mandy and Becky.

Now it is time to seriously look for Mikey and Nicky.
