UFDC 69th Annual Convention, 2018 - Phoenix, AZ: Part 2

The next morning, Wednesday, July 18th, I was up bright and early and ready for my morning shift volunteering at the Mini Office. The Mini Office is information central for the convention. Not only will the members working the desk tell you where to go, but we will do it politely. LOL In all seriousness, if a con-goer needs to find a specific room, wants to check the schedule, or register for an event, workshop, or seminar, the Mini Office can help.

At noon, we closed up the Mini Office and I headed to the Stephanie Blythe luncheon - Under the Sea.

The luncheon was hosted by and centerpieces built by the Independent Spirits Doll Club. Licca dressed for the theme in her bathing suit.

After most of the food had been eaten, Stephanie Blythe gave a slideshow program of other dolls that represented the theme: bathing beauties, dolls in swim wear, and mermaids; including previous dolls she had made. At last time came to receive our souvenir. The table hosts passed out the small boxes to their tables.

Inside was this sweet Water Baby necklace. I know I was not the only one who were their necklace for the rest of the day.

After the luncheon I took a walk around the Sales Room and took a closer look at Stephanie Blythe's booth.

I even found time to attend some programs on Wednesday: American Girl Dolls by Erica Cruz, and Behind the Scenes with Barbie by Bradley Justice.

The rest of the evening was filled by walking through the Competition Room and the Special Exhibits.

Licca's favorite Special Exhibit was Around the World in 80 Dolls, I bet you can guess why.

Stay tuned for part 3.
