It is well known, according to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, that it is very important to always have your towel with you. This is especially important in Japan.
Uses of a small towel
- to dry your hands in a public restroom, many do not have towels or air dryers
- cover your "private area" when walking to the tub in the public baths
- wipe down your table in a food court
- wipe sweat off of your face on a hot day
- many, many more.
Because of these needs, Dave and I each chose and bought small towels to carry with us while touring.
This one is mine, I bought it at a souvenir store by the Shiraito Waterfall.
And this Totoro towel is Dave's. We found this one in Hiroshima and had to have it. It is a very manly Totoro towel. ;)
