Sulwar Kameez for 18" Dolls

Well, I finally got a new sewing machine. It is like magic! I used the sewing machine to finish making this cute outfit that fits American Girl dolls for a friend.

I really like how it turned out.
It is a Sulwar Kameez/Tunic and Pants - a style that is popular in India and Pakistan.

The pattern is by Genniewren Designs and can be purchased through Pixiefaire at this link.

Witches, Pumpkins, and Cats! Oh My!

We started decorating for Halloween this week. Here is one of the displays.

This table houses the Annalee dolls this year.

Blending in on the table is this cool car doll, not an Annalee.

Pumpkins and potion bottles round out the look.

DC Superhero Girls Harley Quinn

My birthday is the last week of August.

So say hello to my doll birthday present this year: DC Superhero Girls Harley Quinn!

When the DC Superhero Girls dolls first came out, I decided to not purchase her, since I tend to like heroes more than villains, but eventually I decided I needed her to hangout with the rest of the crew.

Like a few of the other DC Superhero Girls dolls, she did not come with a student ID card. I wonder how they decided some characters got them and others did not.

Harleen Quinzell (Harley's real name) comes with a comically large mallet to create havoc with.

Too large for her to stand without support while holding, it turns out. Oh well, that is what salt and pepper shakers are for. Right?

This version of Harley looks way too sure of herself to ever fall for Mr. J (The Joker). Especially since Ivy (Poison Ivy) is already around.

With Harley's addition to my collection, I am only missing 2 characters from this line - Blackstar, who came in a Target exclusive 2-pack with Starfire; and Cheetah, who was in a San Diego Comic Con 2-pack with Wonder Woman and then later was released by herself.
